We’re thrilled to announce that Frost and Fire will be playing the contra dance at Burlington’s First Night this year. Join us from 7-9 at Memorial Auditorium to balance the old year and swing into the new! We’ll let you know once we hear who the caller will be.
Upcoming chances to hear Frost and Fire:
- Quechee Highland Games, August 25, 12-4:30 pm. Quechee, VT. We’re playing two concert sets in the beer tent, alternating with two sets by Celtic Prydein. (amusing note: all the pipers for this concert were on staff for the Pipers’ Gathering this year). We’ll be sharing some new songs and concert sets, so we hope to see you there!
- Queen City Contra Dance, November 9, 7:30-11 pm. Burlington, VT. Our ‘home dance’ invited us back!
- Concert or Contra Dance, November 30, time TBA. Potsdam, NY. We’re working to put on a performance in Hollis’s hometown to kick off our first fall tour. Mary Wesley is joining us on the mic for this tour; she called our first contra dance and we love her!
- Mostly Waltz Workshop, December 1, 1-4 pm. Ottawa, ON. We’re playing for a waltz-style workshop. When they let us know the location, we’ll tell you!
- Ottawa Contra Dance, December 1, 7-11 pm. Ottawa, ON. The tour continues with a contra dance featuring Mary Wesley.
